A West Coast shelf
for a brand based anywhere.
A brand on the East Coast, in Florida or in the middle of the country can keep part of its stock in Fairview, Oregon, and reach most of its West Coast customers by ground in one to two days. With no monthly minimum, the second location bills what it used.
From Fairview, in the Portland metro area, ground parcels reach Washington, Oregon and most of California in one to two days and the rest of the country in three to five. For a brand that ships everything from the East Coast, customers in the western states wait the longest. Stock held here reaches most of them in one to two days.
What comes here and what stays
The split is yours. The items your western customers order most come to Oregon, and the rest keeps shipping from where it is. EdCo is one location, so it serves as the western half of a two location setup. It is not a network of its own.
What a second location costs
- Receiving: $3.00 per box, counted against your packing list and photographed at intake.
- Storage: $25.00 per occupied position per month, with a one month minimum.
- Pick and pack: $3.00 per order, first item included. Each additional item in the same order is $0.50.
- No setup fee, no monthly minimum, no contract term.
Thirty orders and one storage position come to $115.00 in service fees. Postage is on top, at the carrier's cost. A month in which the western shelf ships fewer orders bills fewer orders.
How the orders are divided
Which orders ship from Oregon and which from your own location is agreed in writing during onboarding, by region or by item, and tested before the first live order. The store connector is configured and tested against your own store during onboarding, before your first live order moves.
Getting stock here
Cartons travel by parcel carrier, up to fifty pounds each, to the receiving address issued with the executed agreement. Each carton is counted against your packing list and photographed, and the receiving report follows within two business days of unloading. The postage from Oregon to any state is in the postage estimator, and the location itself is described in fulfillment near Portland, Oregon.
Where EdCo is not the answer
A brand whose customers are mostly in the eastern half of the country gains little from a shelf in Oregon. Freight that must move on pallets, full containers and products regulated as food are outside what the facility takes, and a brand that needs three or more locations belongs with a national network.
